Decisions Decisions

Earlier this week we started our symposium Kant vs. Mill. We debated and discussed Kant's and Mill's viewpoint on subjects and situations like The Button Situation Why should we legalize Marijuana. Based on these subjects or situations, what would be your viewpoint on the two? We ended our week with a discussion about John Rawl's belief about "justice as fairness." Can you define in your own words what that phrase would mean. We were also given a certain situation to imagine that a group of autonomous agents place behind the veil of ignorance, based on that what would they agree upon as a whole. What were the two principles upon which they would agree upon? Explain. Which principle would you agree upon and why?
